Minimum Participation Rule

The Minimum Participation Rule was revised in 2022:

  1. QAs must administer at least 5 items.
  2. If a student misses 5 items at any point within the administration of the first 10 items, then minimum participation has been met and the test may be submit.
  3. If testing is submit for minimum participation, it is recommended the QA, QT, or school personnel who knows student best (teacher, etc.) administer the Oregon Observational Rating Assessment (ORora).

Please note, all grade-level subject area ORExt assessments must be attempted; however, the ORora only needs to be administered once. For example, if a student in Grade 5 has met minimum participation for ELA, they must still attempt both Math and Science, with the ORora.
